The Ministry wishes to further advise all VAGST registered taxpayers particularly for those under Category B that, in accordance with the amendment of the current State of Emergency (SOE) lockdown orders approved by Cabinet, extending our lockdown period for 14 days, the due date for filing VAGST tax returns for the period January – February 2022 is now extended until SOE Level 3 has been lifted. We will advise you again through notice on the exact date for all VAGST returns and payments to be made after our extend lockdown period.

In support of our clients during the SOE Lockdown conditions, we encourage all taxpayers to register with our online portal: Samoa e-Tax (SET) for lodging your tax returns and furnishing any tax payments due via our E-service.
